Who can use Aether

Aether is a cannabis session journaling app operated by Dead Pixel Design. By creating an account you confirm that:

  • You are 21 years of age or older (or the legal cannabis age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher).
  • Your use of the app complies with all laws in your state, province, or country.
  • You are not located in a jurisdiction where accessing cannabis-related content is prohibited.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that we believe are held by minors or used in violation of applicable law.

What Aether is

Aether is a personal journaling tool. It helps you record and reflect on your own cannabis sessions. Nothing in the app constitutes medical advice, legal advice, or a recommendation to consume cannabis. Terpene profiles, AI recommendations, and strain information are provided for informational and journaling purposes only.

Your content

You own the content you create in Aether — your session logs, notes, and photos. By posting content you grant Dead Pixel Design a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the app (for example, showing your public sessions to other users or displaying your avatar on your profile).

You are responsible for what you post. Do not post content that is illegal, harassing, or that violates another person's rights. We may remove content or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Social features

Sessions are private by default. You control what you make public, who you follow, and whether you join or host public seshes. Do not use social features to harass, spam, or impersonate others.

Prohibited uses

  • Using the app to facilitate illegal sale or distribution of cannabis.
  • Scraping, reverse engineering, or otherwise accessing the app in ways not permitted by these terms.
  • Using automated scripts or bots against the app's API endpoints.
  • Attempting to access other users' private data.

No warranties

Aether is provided "as is." We make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy of strain data, AI recommendations, or OCR results. The app is in active development and features may change.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dead Pixel Design is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Aether. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid to use the app (currently zero, as the app is free).

Changes to the service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The "last updated" date reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
