These terms cover the Aether app and loveaether.com. Aether is made by Dead Pixel Design in Houlton, Maine ("we"). Using Aether means you agree to them.
Who can use Aether
You must be 21 or older, and you're responsible for following the cannabis laws where you live. Aether doesn't make anything legal that isn't.
What Aether is and isn't
Aether is a personal journal. It learns your taste from the terpene profiles of what you've had and suggests strains from that. It doesn't sell anything, take orders, connect buyers and sellers, or set up meetups.
Aether isn't medical advice. Terpene profiles, suggestions, Flora's explanations, Counter Compass readings and Afterglow Atlas patterns describe your own records. They don't tell you what a product will do to you, and they aren't a diagnosis or a treatment. Take health questions to a doctor.
The numbers can be wrong. Strain estimates are averages of other people's lab results, and your jar can differ. Aether reads lab results automatically and shows you the values before saving, and it's on you to confirm them. Strain names are labels, not chemistry.
Your account and what you log
Keep your sign-in secure and use only your own account. What you log stays yours. You let us store and process it to run the app for you, as the privacy policy describes. That includes adding lab numbers you confirm to the anonymous shared pool, where they're no longer tied to you.
Don't use Aether to break the law, to sell or advertise cannabis, to harass anyone, or to get at other people's data or mess with the service.
If you share a Star Chart Brief, you decide what's on it and who gets it.
Features and changes
Aether is free right now. Some features may move to a paid plan later. If that happens, you'll hear about it before anything is charged, and nothing is charged without your say-so. We may change, pause or end features, and we'll give notice if a change affects you.
You can stop using Aether and delete your account any time from the About tab. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Strain estimates are built from Cannlytics cannabis_results lab data, licensed CC BY 4.0. The shop list is © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License.
No warranty
Aether is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and running, but we don't promise it's error-free or always available. As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using Aether or relying on what it shows you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, USA.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version goes up here with a new date. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app.
